This recipe makes enough dry mix for around 20 portions (4-5 overnight mixes). The overnight mix is enough for 4-5 portions. The fruit, nuts and seeds can be adjusted to suit whatever's in the cupboard, just keep the total quantities of each roughly as per the recipe.
1 cup oat groats
1 cup raw buckwheat
1 cup barley flakes
1 cup rye flakes
1 cup spelt flakes
2 cup milled flax seed (or wheat bran)
½ cup goji berries
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
3 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp sunflower seeds
1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
1 tbsp poppy seeds
1 tbsp
shelled hemp seeds
1 tbsp
linseeds
½ cup desiccated coconut
1 cup
chopped mixed nuts (brazil, pecans, almonds, hazelnuts, cashews,
walnuts, almonds)
2 cups dry mix (above)
½ pint milk
1 cup frozen berries
greek yoghurt
fresh fruit
honey or maple syrup to taste
Mix the dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Store in an airtight container.
Put two cups of dry mixture into a 1 litre container. Add the milk and stir to mix. Leave to soak overnight.
Put the frozen berries in a separate container to defrost overnight.
